So I got a last minute order and since I can never say no to anyone, I said yes :)  We're doing some programs, hotel information cards, and place cards.  This bride contacted me via my husband (they work together) so I was happy to help her out.  Here's her program - it actually is going to go up on Etsy and it will be my first program on Etsy.

New items

So, I decided to branch out a little bit and made a digital birthday party package.  Everything you need for a perfect birthday party!

Check it out here!

The dog woke me up at an amazing 5:45 this morning so I am up now and working on lots of stuff.  So hopefully I'll get some more listings up today :)

Karsyn's Birthday

My boss's daughter is turning 1 next weekend and she asked me to do her invitations for her.  She wanted an owl theme so after about 30 minutes of searching for cute owl clip art that she/we liked on Etsy, we found it, and off to work I went.  Here is the finished product.  She bought a very cute tutu and hair bow for pictures.  Love this little girl!

For Audrey

Someone I get to high school with has contacted me a few times about doing work for her.  I love doing work for repeat customers!  It makes me realize how happy they are :)

I did her daughter, Audrey's monthly onesie stickers, some wall art, and baptism invites.  Recently I did some more wall art with an Audrey Hepburn quote and thank you cards that match the baptism invites.  I hope I get to do more work for her!

Baby shower Bingo

Recently I've been getting a lot of conversations and requests on Etsy which is so exciting!  Here is an order i did of 40 Bingo cards for a baby shower.  I think this is such a cute idea for baby showers.  I wasn't going to be able to do them until Friday but I forced myself out of bed this morning and got them done (and a whole other order - to be posted tomorrow!)  In light of my post last night, I thought it was time to get some stuff done :)

I am so proud of myself that I did these early! Also the next order :) I didn't get around to cleaning up my mess in the basement though. :) Baby steps.

So, with the idea of baby coming in less than 4 months (theoretically) my mind is RACING.  I feel like there is so much I want and need to do before he gets here to get myself grounded.  However I also feel like there is not enough time in the world, even if I were to swear off sleeping.  A bunch of stuff I "need" to do pertains to Invitations By Melanie, and a bunch pertains to baby's bedroom.  I have this idea that I have to DIY everything for him.  I thought I'd use this blog to gather my Invites thoughts.  Here's what I want to get done.....

*Take one day where I print like crazy and then take pictures like crazy.  I think maybe part of the reason why I'm not selling is because I don't have pictures of my items - only digital samples.  So I am thinking maybe I should just print like crazy and then take pictures.  This is not going to be an easy feat, as it will probably take an entire weekend.  This won't be done for a while seeing as how we have weddings for the next 3 weekends.
*Add a bunch to the shop.  I want to add moving announcements, wedding monogram labels, wedding monograms, wedding program samples, more onesie stickers...the list goes on.
*Do something with all of the candle making and bath and body supplies I bought when I thought I wanted to start that business.  Either make a bunch and give them away as gifts, sell them, or just sell the supplies straight up. I should probably sell the supplies straight up to make some extra money.

I felt like there was more, but this is a lot to think about and get through.  And this is only from this business.  I have so much I need to do around the house on top of this.  Oh, and work 40 hours a week. Here goes nothing...

Engagement Party

So I finished a huge order (half in Polish, half in English) and totally forgot to take pictures before I shipped them off :( WAAHHHH. They were green and black and very pretty :)

On to the next, was a very patient Dawn.  She had a drawing she wanted on the engagement party invites and some simple, but pretty, wording.  So here it is on paper! So excited for her and her finacee Jerry.

Also on Friday night I printed out some coupon code cards for an event for The MomSay - a website that I blog for on Wednesdays.  They are having an event on Friday that I can not attend (we have the start of 4 weddings in a row!) so I made some cards that they can put in the goodie bags.

I will give all my lovely readers my coupon code. :)
